We are dedicated to doing what we can to eliminate obstacles on your path to a career in the construction industry. Please continue with the application if you do not meet the above-listed qualifications. We may be able to connect you with resources to help you meet the minimum requirements.
We understand that individual circumstances play a large role in how and when obstacles arise. Each participant may be eligible for financial assistance to help mitigate some of those obstacles. The obstacles that emergency funds can be used to overcome include, but are not limited to: additional tutoring, education courses, exam/licensing fees, apprenticeship application and testing fees, season-appropriate work clothes, and required tools.
Program Schedules:
There will be 12 hours per week of classroom instruction. Some courses within the program may require an occasional Saturday commitment and cohorts will range between 12-20 weeks in duration, depending on which cohort the student is enrolled in. The full schedule for each cohort will be selected based on availability and individual needs at the time of enrollment.
Apprenticeship Programs
After successfully completing this program, students will be mentored through a process to apply for acceptance into various construction trade apprenticeship programs. By this time, the student should have an idea if the trades are the right place for them and which trades they wish to pursue. If they are accepted into the Building Trades Apprenticeship Program, they will also be sent to an affiliated employer for on-the-job training (OTJ) where they will earn wages and benefits while they learn their chosen trade.
